Its the weekend and you want to do something fun but don’t have a lot of cash to spare?  Everything costs money and is so far away, right?  WRONG!  In this section of Greenback Grazers we will give you ideas to keep you, your spouse, and your kids entertained.  Ideas in this section will be range in price from under $10-FREE!

Ok all you single girls and guys.  Believe it or not there are lots of free activities out there for you to take advantage of.  Always check your local free paper.  In montco it is The Courier Weekly. Believe it or not your church is a great resource also.  They often have events which are free and can connect you with other people.  These are often opened to the public.  Your local Library is another source of events.  Most show movies or have lectures on a montly basis.

Married couples it really is okay to use coupons at a resturant.  Just make sure you tip on the whole bill.  There are a lot of resturants out there that offer meal deals.  Make it part of your budget that you “treat” yourselves once a month maybe.  There are also plenty of free activities around the town which can broaden your horizons and your date night!  Some are done every month some are done once a year.  Great times for these are holidays.  Christmas and Easter are usually the times of year when churches have bazzars these are free to attend and wonderful  to see the creativity of your neighbors with out spending a dime.  I have found many a unique present at these events.

Families, this may seem a daunting task for you; especially if you have a large family.  In this economy we need to get creative.  Something our moms seed to do so naturally.  Here is the seceret get involved in your commuunity.  In December go to a tree lighting in your town.  Almost every town has one and it usually includes entertainment and activities for the kids.  In most cases they even have free food donated by local businesses.  Even if you are not of the Christian faith it can be a way to teach your children about other cultures.  Moms send Dad with the kids for activities and start a little christmas shopping early.  Stores in townw will be open they want your business.  In summer go to block parties put on by the town.  The library is another good source of free entertainment.  Take the kids to story time help them pick out a book.

This blog will change montly with activities and you can suscribe weekly to see new events or ask questions.
