Here is one that sounds easy enough for even me to try.   I also thought it might make a nice housewarming gift or nice for a welcome home baby gift.  I have two friends who are pregnant and due about the same time.  So I thought it might make one for each of them.  If you grow your own herbs (I don’t), trim them to 5” in length.  Buy potted herbs that you can clip from now and plant later, or by pre-cut herbs from the supermarket.

There are many types of wreathes you could make inspired by the regions or places you’ve been, or a particular food you like perhaps mediterranean-style of lavender, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, and thyme.

To make your wreath; Bundle 3-5 sprigs of herbs together and secure ends with floral wire.  Make fifteen bundles in total.  Attach to an 8” wire wreath form, working clockwise and overlapping to hide ends.  Lastly, use floral wire to create a hook for hanging.

Finally put it to use in the kitchen, and snip off herbs as needed.  If they dry out, just adjust the amount used (about 1 tsp dried for every  1 tsp fresh).

For families:  I was at chic-fil-a in Warrington today, and discovered that every monday they have a Family Fun Night.  It’s free and starts at 5:30-7:30pm.  There is a different activity every time.  Its a great time to spend some family time out together and even take advantage of the playland to tire the kids out in time for bed!  Have fun all!
